I am personally appalled at the unprovoked attack by Russia on the independent democratic nation of Ukraine, a fellow member state of the United Nations. As this unjust war has continued to escalate, we all hope for a swift end to hostilities and peaceful resolution. However, we believe that absent some neutral oversight, any end to hostilities will be fragile and likely short-lived. Therefore, we urge you to plan now to be able to at once deploy United Nations Peacekeeping forces to Ukraine should a cessation of hostilities be realized.

Contact your congressional representative and senator to urge continued aid for military and Humanitarian support for Ukraine.
Please show leadership in support of free democratic nations by supporting any future allocations of United States financial support for both military and humanitarian aid to Ukraine in its resistance to subjugation by the autocracy of Russia. In the words of Bernice Johnson Reagon who wrote Ella’s Song, “We who believe in freedom cannot rest until it comes.” If the United States cannot support freedom and democracy wherever it exists across the globe, we have relinquished our right to moral and global leadership.
